Electrodialysis (ED) is the material separation process to make the Ion migration occurred by the using the permselectivity of positive ion and anion ion exchange membrane to the positive ion anion-exchange membrane in the solution. It is especially applicable for high salt content and large volatility waters and the material liquid situation, as pre-desalting device. It is placed in the front of the ion exchange system, which can greatly extend the making water cycle of the ion exchange system.
